Alexandria, Virginia, is home to about 159,000 people. It's a city with a history with a vibrant, entrepreneurial, and creative vibe that's quite unlike any other city near DC. While it's just 7 miles from DC on the western bank of the Potomac River, Alexandria maintains a more intimate feel and most certainly its character and charm. It's an upscale, affluent community with outstanding food, boutiques, and antique shops.

The Alexandria real estate market is diverse. While modern condos and luxury homes exist, much of the city offers 18th-century row homes, colonials, and revival mansions. A few modest bungalows and smaller homes are present, too. Its location brings ample history, which means many renovated, stunning homes throughout the city.

It’s not uncommon to see owners with pets on leashes strolling through the heart of the city.
